James Nelson of Centerville and a 2009 graduate of Centerville High School was part of the Ohio Christian University Men's Basketball Team which claimed the National Christian College Athletic Association Division II National Championship on March 9, 2013.

Ohio Christian University won their first ever NCCAA National Championship with a thrilling 73-62 victory over 7th seeded Arlington Baptist University. The win caps off a perfect season for the Trailblazers against NCCAA competition as OCU went 22-0 against teams in their division for the year.
