Dylan Goodall Serves in Dearborn, MI over Spring Break

2014 Mar 24

Dylan Goodall spent spring break serving in Dearborn, MI as part of a mission trip taken by Ohio Christian University students.

The students went as part of a World Gospel Mission trip to do outreach to Muslims with Angel House Ministries. Going to the largest Middle Eastern population in North America, the students felt like they were in a different country. 93% of the area where they stayed are Muslims.

"God has given our students an amazing opportunity to learn more about the Muslim faith and how to reach out to them with the love of Jesus," said Andrea Williamson, OCU Student Involement Director for World Gospel Mission.

The team was able to teach English to men and women and help Angel House Ministries get their new building ready to begin holding classes. They took several classes on topics such as contextualization and women in Islam. They also visited a mosque where they had a Q & A Session with it's leader.

"All of these experiences have given us a more firm understanding of what Christianity is facing and how much the grace of God truly means," said Ethan Allen, a Junior Disaster Management & Relief major.
